Groomed, Uncrowded, Calm, Flat Light
I visited Bear Creek for the first time in several years, a few days before Christmas, the first day the temperatures got above freezing. Under the new ownership, the snowmaking and grooming are vastly improved. For the first time I've been there, all trails were open. The ticket sellers and lift attendants were friendly (other than one blowing cigarette smoke as you got off the lift), the crowds small. Bear Creek made this a great first day of the season. |
