Began our Race League this past Thursday and it couldn't have been any better. The temp was in the low 20's snow was perfect some wind but felt good actually. We night ski so it had been ridden on all day but still was excellent. Worth the trip up to Crystal for the weekend. |

No Trails Open
Yes Mother nature is smiling on Northwestern Michigan this year. The late Thanksgiving holiday is turning out to be a blessing for ski resorts. A large pool of very cold air has settled in over us and the lake effect snow machine is going. Add that to new improved and added numbers of snow guns and it adds up to a holiday opening for Crystal Mountain and other resorts. conditions should be excellent. |

Groomed, Untracked, Wind-Packed, Uncrowded, Windy, Snowy
Raced last night on Buck. Conditions were very good. When off free skiing found some untracked light powder areas that glided like silk. I bring this up because it was 8 at night and finding any untracked powder is a delight. It will be a little warmer and sunny this weekend in Northern Michigan. Should be an excellent weekend to head up and ski some good snow. |

Groomed, Tracked, Icy Spots, Uncrowded, Making Snow
this is a report in accordance to last Thursday night. conditions were very good. Snow was soft and powdery. Very light crowds after holidays. Crystal has been making snow for about two weeks now and the new snow guns they have make a much more natural snow than days of old. |
