The day started as a 50 degree blue bird day and then the storm arrived at 3:30. Hopefully it goes all night!!

After a killer spring ski day yesterday, 3" are on my deck so far and it it's dumping. There should be more on the hill so it should be a great day!

Groomed, Skied Off, Trashed, Thin, Thin Spots, Icy Spots, Rocky Spots, Bare Spots, Crowded, Calm, Flat Light

Went to Steamboat Sat 1/16/10, while the groomed runs and any where they are able to make snow was fine skiing, there were more rocks on many of the black runs than I remember since the early to mid 90's. Still had a great time skiing with friends and family, but the skis will need a little time with a file. The good news is that snow is in the forcast for most of the week, hopefully the Rockies can get a good dumping and we can see the bases in the 40-50 inch range which should cover most of the rocks and bare spots. Did find one of the best happy hours in town at the Mahagoney Ridge Brewery, 1/2 price drinks and $1 Tapas 4-5:30 everyday, 5th and Lincoln.
