Celebrating 50 years at Red Lodge Mountain Resort, this is “The Saint” with Wednesday’s early morning snow report.
Well, thank you Mother Nature. This has been a stellar spring. We got another 6 inches of powder in the past 24 hours, with a 7 day total of 42 and a 62 inch base. We have deep powder and groomed conditions.
And if you could cherry pick a spring day to be up here, this could be it. We are forecasted for bluebird skies with temps in the mid 40’s and mild winds.
We’ll have 5 lifts turning and 63 runs open for you to bask in the sun and tan yourself.
If you haven’t done it already, you need to get your season pass for next year, before this season ends. It’s the best price you’ll get, plus that pass allows you to ski the remainder of this season for free. And those 5 days that are left this season would put a big dent in the price of that pass.

We got dumped on and have 20 inches of new snow to report giving us powder all over the mountain and groomed conditions, with a 62 inch base. It will be partly cloudy today with a high in the mid 30’s and mild winds. 6 lifts will be turning and 60 runs open.

No Foolin’ though… We’ve gotten 8 inches of snow in the past few days, and are sliding on spring powder and groomed conditions with a 52 inch base. More snow is on the way today with temps in the high 20’s with mild to strong winds. We’ll have 6 lifts turning and 60 runs to choose from.

The Palisades lift is open today, which is a real treat to our weekday skiers, and you can still carve on Cole Creek’s favorite runs, and then cruise out the scenic Meeteese Trail down to Palisades to route out.

Up on the mountain this morning it is 24 degrees. The forecast says snow is likely today with a 70% chance of precip, that means it will be cloudy, a high near 32 and we’ll have mild winds.
We are sliding on a 41 inch base with hard packed and groomed conditions. You have 6 lifts to choose from and 66 runs open.
The Palisades lift is open right now, which is a real treat to our weekday skiers, and enjoy Cole Creek’s favorite runs, then cruise out the scenic Meeteese Trail down to Palisades to route out.

And Kudos to our amazing grooming team who is keeping the corduroy soft and easy to carve, and the afternoon bumps are a blast.
We all know sliding technology has changed a lot in the past decade. Skis got short and shaped, and now fat. And how you ski the equipment changed. My old training and my old muscle memory wasn’t working for me any more. I wasn’t maximizing the equipment’s potential so this year I made it a mission to learn. And I did learn. So the question f |

A week ago we got some great snow and right now are sliding on a 46 inch base. We’ll have soft bumps and fast groomers!
In February 1960 this mountain opened, and for 50 years Red Lodge Mountain has been our local mountain that we love so much. Tomorrow we officially celebrate it with our 50th Birthday Bash.

We received no new snow last night, but have gotten 2 feet in the past week and are sliding on a 48 inch base.
It is 29 degrees up on the mountain this morning, and will reach a high in the mid 30’s today. It is forecasted to be mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of snow and moderate winds.
For 50 years Red Lodge Mountain has been our local mountain, and we love our mountain, and this coming Saturday we officially celebrate it with our 50th Birthday Bash. In February 1960 this mountain opened, and featured in the main lodge will be a historical collection of memorabilia highlighting that beginning.

OK Powder Hounds… yesterday was nirvana on the mountain, and if you get here early today you can get first tracks again, this time on Palisades. Lobo and Winchester are waiting for you to rip it up.
We’ve gotten 25 inches of fresh in the past few days, with 15 in the past 48 hours, and are now sliding on a 53 inch base with amazing conditions and 7 lifts turning.
We will reach a high in the mid 20’s today. It will be mostly cloudy with mild winds and snow likely.
It is time to party on the mountain, and not just because of the awesome snow, but because Winter Carnival is here. Did you dig through your closet and find your oldest ski gear? It is a costume now and you could win a prize for it. The more “retro” the better.

Right now the groomers are fast and the bumps are big. We got a trace of snow yesterday and are sliding on a 36 inch base with packed powder, hard packed and groomed conditions with 6 lifts turning and 57 runs open. And FYI, Palisades lift will be open again this weekend.
It is race 5 today of our Town Series, and Red Lodge Mountain wants to send a huge shout out to our own Priska Sorenson. She is an instructor in our Snowsports staff and kicked butt last week taking the top spot among all the racers. You are one fast chick Priska and we congratulate you!

Palisades opens for this weekend and our terrain park got upgraded with new features. We also have our Miami Beach terrain park open with smaller features to start that learning curve. |
